The Stardust Prince ~ Sabriel Medieval AU {Part Three}

Title: The Stardust Prince

Pairings: Sam Winchester and Gabriel, Dean Winchester and Castiel

Rating: M

Word Count: 33,534

Status: In-Progress

Author’s Note: There was originally supposed to only be three parts to this fic, but due to the staggering length of these final scenes, I have decided to split it into four. The fourth and final part will be posted once I am finished writing it.

Synopsis: Medieval AU. Sam Winchester is the owner of a humble village bookshop, and when his newest customer turns out to be a charming golden-eyed Prince who beckons him to the castle with promises of gold in exchange for a story read every night, his life takes a turn that no book in his shop could ever compare to.

Title: Not Anymore

Pairing: Sam/Gabriel, Implied Sam/Amelia

Word Count: 2,673

Warnings: Angst, spoilers for Season Gr8

Author’s Note: This idea came to me while I was at work. Apparently folding sweaters leads to heart-wrenching Sabriel. Who knew.

Summary: Sometimes, you just gotta let people go.

Oh my god, guys. Story. I have a story to tell you.

So, I work at Old Navy, right? And I’m usually in the girls/boys/toddlers/baby department, cause apparently all the other associates can’t stand working in those departments and can’t stand needy moms and kids running around but I love it and I rock the shit out of it so I’m always there.

But anyways…

Last weekend I was there, doing my thing, folding a mountain of clothes on a table. There was a mom nearby who was busy on her cell phone, and going through girls clothing. She had two kids with her: a baby boy in a stroller, and a toddler boy holding her hand. The baby was absolutely SCREAMING. Like, this kid was miserable, and mom couldn’t give him the attention he needed cause she was obviously in a hurry and flustered and busy, and this poor little baby was just bawling and whimpering.

And then his older brother came up to the stroller and said, I kid you not, “No, Sammy, no. Don’t cry, Sammy. Here, look at me! Look at me, Sammy!” and began to dance in front of the stroller until the baby stopped crying.

Like…

Fuck my heart with a chainsaw. What are the odds?

Sammy. The damn baby was named Sammy. And that damn baby named Sammy had a big brother who would do anything to keep him happy while they were having a day out with their mom.

I just can’t deal with my Winchester feels right now.

It's tangible. The heat and power and strength and love. Sam's pretty sure he can feel it all the way up to his throat when Gabriel thrusts into him, pushing groans out of him that only serve to encourage the archangel. Sam can feel it, everywhere, all up and down his body. It makes his hair stand on end, his toes curl. It makes his shoulders roll, his thighs clench. Gabriel is just slamming away inside of him and Sam can feel it in the static in the air. Can almost taste it when Gabriel comes.

I’m in the mood for some seriously angsty Sabriel…

I want a fic where Sam and Gabriel are only just starting to become comfortable around each other after Gabriel’s resurrection / return from Purgatory / whatever. Gabriel has feelings for Sam, and plans a small date with him, much to Sam’s initial reluctance. Full on dinner in a cheesy setting kind of date. There are sweets galore, of course, but he actually makes an effort to get salads and all the healthy goodies Sam has a weakness for, and he even has a gift for him too. Maybe a book or new laptop or whatever would make Sam geek out.

And on the day of their planned date, I want Sam to cancel. To just not show up, even. Because he still doesn’t trust Gabriel enough. Because he still thinks about Mystery Spot and Changing Channels, and still can’t bring himself to get that close with what he still sees as The Trickster. Because he can’t see Gabriel doing something like this for him. He thinks it’s just supposed to be a way of the Trickster fucking with his feelings. Sam’s been fucked over enough by people he’s gotten close to.

And it hurts Gabriel. A lot. Maybe it could end angsty, or they could talk it out and there could be some fluff in there. I dunno. I like either one.

UGH, I just need a fic like this so bad. I would write it myself, but I already have too many fics going at once and, knowing me, his thing would turn multi-chaptered really fast, and I cannot make myself do that. Stardust Prince and Wayward Saints still beg to be finished.

I need this fic like air, and I will seriously love whoever sees this and gets enough inspiration to write it for me.

“Still not getting why you joined the circus if you’re terrified of clowns, oh great Samsquatch,” Gabriel pondered as he swayed back and forth from his signature trapeze, hanging upside-down by only by the backs of his knees and looking content as though he were lounging on a couch, his caramel hair fluttering and the fading light shining in through the tent dancing across the glitter still clinging to his skin from this afternoon’s show.

Sam rolled his eyes as he continued to sweep up candy wrappers and empty popcorn bags left behind by the audience, casting a half-hearted look at the acrobat while he swung, and reached up to poke at Gabriel’s side with his broom handle while saying, “I have my reasons, and as long as I’m not trapped in a confined space alone with them, I’m fine.”

Gabriel’s trapeze swung erratically while he swatted the broom handle away and said, “if this has anything to do with the time I showed up in bed wearing a rainbow wig, I swear to God, I never told anyone about you shrieking and locking yourself in the storage room until morning.”

Gabriel/Sam, Gabriel is a teacher who hates to see Sam get picked on.

Gabriel shuffled the youngest Winchester boy into the empty teacher’s lounge and immediately made for the freezer, drawing an ice pack to place on the kid’s swollen eye and lip, where a few of the other students had nailed him during lunch period, as Sam’s older brother Dean hadn’t been around at the time to defend him against the taunts and teasing he endured on a daily basis.

“Thanks, Mr. Novak…” the boy muttered as he pressed the ice pack to his face, his backpack—heavy with the amount of books he adored to read in his spare time—slumped over his shoulder, a tiny smile of thanks gracing his features when he saw the concern flash through his art teacher’s eyes.

Gabriel shook his head, and came forward to ruffle paint-stained fingers through the fourteen-year old boy’s shaggy hair while he said, “you’re a good kid, Sam, with a great future, and no matter what any of those jerks out there say to you, know that I am always here to help in anyway I can.”
